L’Atelier de Lionel Cohen.
Aujourd’hui, on va s’intéresser non pas aux toiles de l’artiste, mais où naissent ses toiles :
L’artiste a commencé à peintre dès son plus jeune âge, mais ça vous le savez déjà. Dès ses premières créations, il n’avait pas forcément eu besoin d’un lieu particulier, mais avant tout de son matériel.
Une feuille, un support, et surtout une bonne idée et le voilà partit dans son univers.
Vous êtes curieux de savoir, à quoi peut bien ressembler cet endroit où prennent formes les toiles de l’artiste.
Certains d’entre vous qui suivent ses publications ont déjà vu l’artiste travaillé.
Vous avez déjà aperçu son chevalet, ses peintures, son matériel…. Mais sauriez-vous dire s’il a besoin d’un endroit qui soit dédié à sa création.
La question est lancée.
Lionel Cohen est un contemporain qui se sert de ses aventures de vie pour créer, pour essayer de transmettre des émotions, son histoire, ou bien simplement ce qui le touche.
Les œuvres de Lionel Cohen naissent-elles dans son atelier ?
Et bien NON. Elles sont concrétisées dans son atelier, mais ce n’est pas le lieu qui est important.
Lionel Cohen, le peintre, est un observateur, un penseur, un solitaire, parfois même, un homme taciturne. Il a besoin de mettre avant tout des mots sur ses émotions pour ensuite les retranscrire en peinture. Il a tout un cheminement avant de créer, et ce n’est pas l’endroit qui lui est facilitant.
Lionel Cohen l’homme, nourrit l’artiste. Ce sont les rencontres, les échanges, l’actualité, sa culture, son environnement, qui sont sa source d’inspiration. Imaginez vous si vous êtes dans son univers. J’espère pour vous que n’êtes pas celui qui l’a inspiré pour le tableau dernièrement publié : le Joker.
Vous connaissez Rébecca, la Gagnante de The Voice KID 2020, Lionel a été touché par ce qu’elle avait dégagé lors de son audition à l’aveugle.
Et bien sûr de cette aventure deux tableaux sont nés :
Celui-ci Rébécca offert par l’Artiste à notre petit Prodige.
Et celui Offert par Rébecca à Patrick Fiori.
Pour la petite anecdote, Cathy la maman de Rébecca a eu cette excellente idée que 3 jours avant leur départ….
A ce moment, Lionel était en vacances et ce n’est pas de son atelier qu’il a eu besoin, mais de son matériel.
L’artiste a eu juste besoin de vrai sentiment, pour lui-même créer ses deux tableaux.
Là où est l’artiste, il peut nous épater.
Les paroles, les longs discours, l’artiste n’est pas à l’aise avec cet exercice.
Mais prendre un pinceau et traduire, ce que vous lui avait inspiré, c’est le vrai atelier de Lionel Cohen.
Le peintre publie de nombreux clichés lorsqu’il travaille, sur une terrasse, avec son chevalet, dans un jardin…
Mais soyons un peu curieux où est son atelier ?
Comme vous l’avez compris partout et nulle part.
Soyons un peu sérieux une adresse.
Et bien regarder ses publications, et vous trouverez aisément.
Pour l’instant l’artiste vous a dévoilé son atelier non pas physique, ni sa localisation, mais il vous a livré beaucoup de lui, beaucoup de ce qui fait que son travail soit ce qu’il est. Il vous a mis dans la confidence de ses mécanismes de création, ce qui est une vraie avancée pour l’artiste

For the little anecdote, Rebecca’s mother, Cathy, had this excellent idea only 3 days before their departure…..
At the time, Lionel was on vacation and it was nos his workshop that he needed, but his equipment.
The artist just need real feeling, to create his two paintings for himself.
Where the artist is, he can amaze us.
Words, long speeches, the artist is not confortable with this exercise.

The painter publishes many photos while working, on a terrace, with his easel, in a garden….
